Louisville Ski Club
Skiing and a whole lot more since 1956!

The LSC originated in 1956 with a few avid snow skiers whose prime interest was to promote the sport. We offer a variety of winter and snow-ski activities, such as NASTAR-type downhill racing, ski weekends, and Western and European ski trips.

Today, we offer a wide range of other year-round social activities, such as Friday Night Happy Hours, boating, camping, scuba diving, whitewater rafting, wine tasting, hiking, house boating, event parties, and organized co-ed leagues for volleyball, softball and bowling. We are a member of the Ohio Valley Ski Council, and support Special Olympics KY.

Four score and seven years ago the Ski Club was created (or something like that).  Sixty years later you elected me to be your President. I am deeply honored to serve you and hope to live up to your expectations for making this one of the best years ever for our club. I am especially excited to have a strong set of folks serving beside me on the board.

Your 2016 Board Members are as follows: President - Denise Frye, Summer VP - Jerry Sutton, Winter VP - Karen LeBlond, In town VP- Stuart Secuskie, Treasurer - Dan Dexter, Secretary- Terry Dant, and Member at Large - Chris Heavrin.  Also assisting us this year, John Nash will continue as our Web master.

With the warm weather ahead we have lots of activities and events coming up! Outdoor sport leagues- volleyball and softball will be starting soon. Be sure not to miss the Summer Kick off/60th Celebration Event at Huber’s in May.  I hear a canoe trip is on the horizon as well.

Check the event calendar often and make sure you log into your Member Profile when you visit this site, as many activities are member only events and can only be accessed by paid members.  Tell your friends about us and encourage them to join now that the membership fee is lower.

Also, if you have not been to a monthly club meeting in a while, maybe it’s time to start coming again. Being the 60th Celebration year, I have a few ideas for making them a bit more fun. We always meet the second Friday of every month after Happy Hour at the Aero Club….you can count on it!!  Come on….you might miss out on some good stuff!!!

Yours Truly,

Denise Frye

And remember, we operate with volunteers, so if you want to run an event let us know.
