Louisville Ski Club
Skiing and a whole lot more since 1956!

The LSC originated in 1956 with a few avid snow skiers whose prime interest was to promote the sport. We offer a variety of winter and snow-ski activities, such as NASTAR-type downhill racing, ski weekends, and Western and European ski trips.

Today, we offer a wide range of other year-round social activities, such as Friday Night Happy Hours, boating, camping, scuba diving, whitewater rafting, wine tasting, hiking, house boating, event parties, and organized co-ed leagues for volleyball, softball and bowling. We are a member of the Ohio Valley Ski Council, and support Special Olympics KY.

The 2015 Winter Ski Trips are concluded. Proceed to the Photo page to view trip pictures! :-)

"Presidential Thoughts"

Hello my fellow ski clubbers -

Quick note From Chris Heavrin:

Thank you to everybody who participated in the 2015 Louisville Ski Club bowling league. Hopefully everybody had a great time and will participate next year. We may be looking at a new venue, or stay at Ten Pin. We'll see what happens. Congratulations to the winning team of Dewayne Clemons, Debbie Gravatte, Marilyn Horlander, Pat Brennan, and Bob Rosenbaum.  The runner-ups were Karen LeBlonde, Terry Dillow, Cathy Welsh, Gail Heavrin, and Chris Heavrin.  The winning team received trophies for their great effort. Second place got a "good luck next year". MVP female bowler - Cathy Welsh and MVP male bowler - Mike Roby - received trophies for their efforts. Great job!!! Again, hopefully, everybody enjoyed themselves and will pass the word on what a great time it was. It is a fun thing to do during the winter months, so people can enjoy the camaraderie of members of the Ski Club.

If interested in learning more about running ski trips don’t miss the OVSC Summit coming June 12-14 in Cincinnati. Look for more details to follow.

Other fun things to do coming up soon, our annual Oaks Day Brunch, Coed Softball, Summer Kickoff to name just a few of the fun events we have coming up, look for these and more in our website.

Last but not least remember April is the start of our clubs new year, so if you have not renewed your membership yet NOW IS THE TIME!!  If you need help renewing on our site email or call me at or 502-387-4992.

And remember, we operate with volunteers, so if you want to run an event let us know!

Have a fantastic summer!
